Advanced Analytical Consulting Group (AACG) presents the following webinar:
Do No-Poaching Clauses reduce pay for workers in the Fast Food Industry? In this webinar we answer that question for two different geographic areas encompassing more than 3,000 franchised fast food locations.
AACG’s previous webinars and paper demonstrated that job opportunities and job concentration within the fast food industry are impacted relatively little by no-poaching clauses. In this webinar we present information from our new paper, Wages and Market Concentration: A Case Study from the Fast-Food Industry in Rhode Island and Florida, that directly analyzes the effect of no-poaching clauses on wages of fast food industry workers before and after no-poaching clauses were eliminated from thousands of fast food restaurants.
Topics include the following:
- A review of the central, repeated reliance on previously untested assertions that no-poaching clauses have an effect on wages in the fast food industry.
- New empirical calculations of the effect of No-Poaching Clauses on the concentration and job market opportunities within the fast food industry in Rhode Island and Florida.
- New empirical analysis about the effect of No-Poaching Clauses on wages of Fast Food Workers in labor markets encompassing over 3,000 franchised fast food restaurants.
