Professor McConnell is the Emanuel T. Weiler University Distinguished Professor of Management at Purdue University. He has published extensively in the area of Finance and Mortgages and has also performed studies for the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Government National Mortgage Association. Professor McConnell has published articles and monographs about the interaction between mortgages and financial markets. His research about mortgage-related topics spans more than three decades and includes analyses of methods used to value GNMA mortgage-backed securities, collateralized mortgage obligations and adjustable rate mortgages. Professor McConnell’s research has been presented before the US House of Representatives and the US Senate subcommittees related to housing and urban development.
