Dr. Stan Panis is an expert in labor issues, health care, demographic issues, econometrics, economic modeling, and statistical sampling. He has extensive experience in predictive modeling and litigation support, including as an economic expert witness in labor, health care, and class action cases.

Previously, Dr. Panis was senior manager with the Economic and Statistical Consulting group, part of the Litigation & Dispute Consulting practice, at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP. He served nearly two decades with the RAND Corporation, most recently as senior economist. Dr. Panis co-founded and led EconWare, whose software disentangled causality, reverse causality, and selection effects in economic models. He has taught economics, statistics, and econometrics at the University of Southern California Economics Department and Marshall School of Business, as well as with the University of California Irvine Graduate School of Management.

Dr. Panis has published more than 20 books and articles and has refereed for numerous professional journals, including the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Human Resources, National Tax Journal, Journal of Public Economics, and many others. Professional memberships include the American Economic Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Dr. Panis received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Southern California and a J.D. (equivalent) in civil law from the University of Groningen, Netherlands. He also received an M.A. in business economics and a B.A. in economics, both cum laude, from the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
