Dr. Poorti S. Marino's area of specialty is in applied economics and statistical methods, with particular focus on litigation consulting and on compliance, control, and monitoring for SEC-regulated industries.

Dr. Marino's litigation experience includes damages analysis for breach-of-contract, business interference, and antitrust. Additionally, she has provided statistical sampling and statistical analysis for litigation. She has worked in a variety of areas and industries, including telecommunications, healthcare, technology, pharmaceutical, and financial services.

For SEC-regulated industries, Dr. Marino has analyzed market timing, trading patterns, and other issues important for compliance, control, and monitoring. She has also implemented statistical tests for regulatory reporting to the FCC.

She joined Advanced Analytical Consulting Group after serving as senior manager with the Economic and Statistical Consulting group, part of the Litigation & Dispute Consulting practice, at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP. She has also been a manager for Deloitte & Touche and for Arthur Andersen and has held research positions with Boston University's Economics Department and Charles River Associates.

Dr. Marino has made presentations that have concerned conflict of interest for hedge funds and prime brokers, as well as the use of expert witnesses in wage and hour litigation. She received a PhD in economics from Boston University and a B.S. in economics, as well as a B.S. in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
