Juan F. Riveros has extensive consulting experience in business valuation, financial analysis, the calculation of economic damages arising in a variety of litigation contexts, the development of econometric and statistical models to measure injury and the quantum of damages, and the analysis of economic issues related to class certification. Dr. Riveros has worked as an expert witness on international arbitration matters. He has worked on numerous antitrust cases in a wide variety of industries conducting analyses of market definition, market power, market structure, and the competitive impact of alleged restraints on competition.
Prior to joining AACG, Dr. Riveros was an Economist with Econ One Research and a Managing Economist with Nathan Associates. Earlier, he was an Associate with Banco Santander, where he provided advisory services to large corporations and governments in Latin America focusing on mergers and acquisitions, fixed income, and equity transactions. Dr. Riveros is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Economics at the George Washington University.
Dr. Riveros received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics and M.S.E in Financial Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Earlier he earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana, Caracas.
